Ο 50χρονος Μετίν (τούρκος κουρέας που ζει και εργάζεται μόνιμα στην Αθήνα με τα δυο του παιδιά τον 17χρονο Τσεμ και την 15χρονη Ντιλέκ ) ερωτεύεται την 45χρονη Μυρτώ  (ολιστική – εναλλακτική ψυχοθεραπεύτρια που επίσης ζει και εργάζεται στην Αθήνα με τα δυο της παιδιά την 16χρονη Έλλη  και τον 13χρονο Νίκο).

Έρωτας κεραυνοβόλος και για τους δυο. Το ζευγάρι αποφασίζει - ερήμην των παιδιών - να ζήσουν όλοι μαζί σαν οικογένεια. Πιστεύοντας ότι αυτά που κρατούν μακριά τους ανθρώπους, δηλαδή διαφορετικές καταγωγές, διαφορετικές θρησκείες, διαφορετικές κουλτούρες είναι αυτά ακριβώς που μπορεί και να τους ενώσουν σε μια δυνατή και εναλλακτική οικογένεια.

Τους ξεφεύγει ένας ουσιαστικός παράγοντας που μπορεί να διαλύσει τα πάντα. Οι ορμόνες των εφήβων, που τρελαίνονται με το παραμικρό και βαράνε κόκκινο με τις αισθηματικές και σεξουαλικές ανησυχίες.

Τα πράγματα γίνονται πιο περίπλοκα όταν η Έλλη και ο Τσέμ ερωτεύονται. Αυτό αποσυντονίζει και τους ίδιους αλλά και όλη την οικογένεια.
